Julia’s world shattered when her husband Tom was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, he passed away two months later, leaving her heartbroken and struggling to stay strong for her young son, Rob.
Months later, Tom’s brother, Mike, entered their lives, and Julia knew he had feelings for her. She eventually remarried Mike, hoping to provide Rob with a father figure. Mike and Rob seemed to bond, with Mike taking Rob on outings and sharing their time together.

In an effort to move forward, Julia and Mike relocated to a new home, leaving the old one to Julia’s sister, Schuyler. Over time, Julia distanced herself from her family until one day, Schuyler showed up at her door with shocking news. She found a burner phone in Mike’s glasses case, which he used to secretly contact Rob for years. Mike had manipulated Rob into leaving, convincing him that his mom didn’t want him. Rob had been sent to live with relatives, believing he was a burden.
Schuyler discovered Rob’s wedding invitation and managed to contact him. Through the invitation, Julia learned that Mike had kept Rob away for over a decade. Using the burner phone, Julia reached out to Rob, explaining she never knew what Mike had done and that she’d never stopped looking for him.
Julia divorced Mike, sold the house, and moved next to Rob. She attended his wedding and is now a proud grandmother.
